Classroom Policies Rules and Expectations in Ms. Sullivan’s Classroom
~ Before the morning bell you are not allowed to go to the restroom, only your locker. ~ Students are expected to be in their assigned seat when the bell rings. ~ Bring ALL necessary materials to class and have them ready before class begins. ~ No talking, only listening when the teacher or a fellow classmate is speaking. ~ Wait for directions with no talking. ~ Follow directions the first time they are given and thereafter. ~ The proper heading must be on all papers that are turned in. A 5 point deduction will be taken. ~ Raise your hand and wait to be recognized before speaking out. ~ Change tasks quickly and quietly ~ Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise. ~ If you have to leave the room you must have permission and sign in and out. ~ When you go to the bathroom, you must empty your pockets of all pens and pencils. ~ Students are never allowed to answer the phone. ~ My desk area is off limits to ALL students.
Rules and Expectations while in the cafeteria ~ Upon entering the serving line, STOP talking and do not start again. ~ Display good manners for others to admire. ~ Go through the line only one time; get everything you need the first time. ~ Sit at tables on designated for Ms. Sullivan’s Classroom. ~ Once seated, stay seated until given the signal for you to turn in your trays and line up to exit. ~ Talk only to the people seated in your area. ~ Leave your table clean.
Rules and Expectations for transitions and traveling on campus. ~ line up in the designated area. ~ NO talking in the hall. We need to be respectful to other classes. ~ Walk in a straight line on the right side of the hall near the wall and lockers, but not against them. ~ When going to exploratory classes, stay in a single file line.
During locker breaks ~ NO TALING ~ No slamming lockers or dropping books on the floor. ~ Be courteous to others, especially those with lockers below or above you. ~ Locker breaks are at scheduled times only.
